In the Days of Noah

“Adonai saw that the people on earth were very wicked, that all the imaginings of their hearts were always of evil only.  Adonai regretted that he had made humankind on the earth; it grieved his heart.  Adonai said, “I will wipe out humankind, whom I have created, from the whole earth; and not only human beings, but animals, creeping things and birds in the air; for I regret that I ever made them.  But Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord.”  (CJB)  Genesis 6:5-8

Noah was a righteous man blameless AMONG THE PEOPLE OF HIS TIME!  From what the written Word says Noah did not join into the lifestyle of his time IN ANYWAY!  However, in today’s world it appears to be quite the contrary!  I hear so many people say, “OH!  We are just having fun – we needed a break – it works off our tension – we just need to relax and have some fun!  By the way the word FUN is not in the Bible – anywhere!

The point of this post is this – God regretted having created mankind!  Man caused GOD great pain (it grieved His heart)!  This bothers me!  It causes me to think the following:  Has God at any time in my life regretted creating me?  How much pain have I caused my Father?    You see no matter who we are – no matter what we think we have done – we have sinned!  We are sinners!  We must not even think about attempting to say, “Oh!  I have never done anything like so and so did!  We must not even think about attempting to justify our wrong doings against what others have done!  That is JUDGING!  You see sin is sin!  Pure and simple sin is sin!  Now I will say this – the results and ramifications of our sins in our lives – tells a great deal.  Have you ever thought that your actions or action has caused God to grieve over you?  Have you ever thought you have caused God to be sad?

Always remember:  If we try to justify anything we have done or anything that we are doing – WE ARE HOLDING ON TO OUR OWN SELF-RIGHTEOUS FILTHY RAGS!

I would love to hear your thoughts. . .
