Part Two

God is looking for people who are willing to sacrifice their life for Him!  He is looking for people who are willing to be teachable and who are willing to allow Him to be who He really desires to be in their life!

In other words God is looking for those individuals who are willing to “really” become a bond servant!  Christendom for the most part, doesn’t have a clue what a bondservant is!  Jesus was a bondservant.  You see Jesus walked in total obedience! – He did nothing on His own without asking God.

For it is written:

“When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am who I say I am, and that of myself I do nothing, but say only what the Father has taught me; he did not leave me to myself, because I always do what pleases him.” (JNT) John 8:28-29

“For I have not spoken on my own initiative; but the Father who sent me has given me a command, namely, what to say and how to say it.  And I know that his command is eternal life.  So what I say is simply what the Father has told me to say.”  (JNT) John 12:49-50

You have to give up your life, as you know it!  If we are not willing to do that, than we need to rethink what it is we do want?  Our concepts of God in many ways have to change!  We have to come to know God not the way we have necessarily been taught, but the way He really is!  We must begin to know God for who He is on a personal basis, not just from a book!  Not just from a Bible class.  We have to understand God for who He is!  There was an expression once that seems applicable here. . “Give it up for . . . God!  Stop trying to work things out in your head!  Start working it out in your life!  Let God be the God of your life!

“The man who loves his life loses it, but he who hates his life in this world will keep it safe right on into eternal life.  If someone is serving me, let him follow me; wherever I am, my servant will be there too.  My Father will honor anyone who serves me.”  (JNT) John 25-26

“For when they saw the courage (boldness) of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.”  (NIV) Acts 4:13

At this time, I can’t say this any other way. I certainly have not learned all there is to know.  God works on me every day of my life!  I love what the Apostle Paul said:  “Not that I have already obtain all this, or have been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”  (Philippians 3:12)

“…continue to work out your Salvation with fear and trembling(Philippians 2:12c)

“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

We have something to do besides just saying a sinner’s prayer!  You see there is no instant breakfast!  We have to work out our salvation (Philippians 2:12-15) in order to allow God to carry on and finish what He began in us!  The transformation process takes time – lots of time.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.  Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”  Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)

Once you begin to work toward the transformation spoken about in the above verse – you will begin to notice many things that change within you for the better.  However, the most amazing change is: you will begin to experience a calmness within yourself and the following will begin to happen:  You will experience a joy about your life no matter what is going on because:
