EXPECTATIONS FROM OTHERS

We shouldn’t allow ourselves to be put under bondage to anybody.  Nor, should we serve anybody’s expectations of what we should or shouldn’t be like, with the exception of God.  And, the reason we should follow God’s expectations is because He created us, and He knows what He is doing.  Others don’t!

He knows why He made us the way He did, and He knows the specific reason that He made us the way He did.  He knows how we should wear our hair.  He knows how we should walk.  He knows how we should dress.  He knows how much we should eat and He knows what nutrition our bodies need!  He knows when we should go outside and He knows who our friends should be!  He knows when we should be talking on the phone and to whom.  He knows!

God knows!  Not Society!  Society fails!  Look at what shape they are in.  Are they really experiencing any kind of success?  They are mostly fakes and failures.  They are living examples of how God cannot work in somebody’s life that listens to the stupid opinions of man.  They are living examples of a failed system and a failed society, full of people who consider what others think about them more than pleasing God.

I will not be a part of that!  Will you?  I will not put someone else’s opinion of what I should be doing in my life ahead of God’s direction.  If I do that, I would be a fool!  Because, others’ opinions are a direct distraction to get me to look at something else rather than the purpose for which God created me.  God knows the things that He desires to be a part of in my life, as well as the things that He desires not to be a part of in my life.

The moment I start looking to people’s opinions, or to society’s standards, is the moment I have taken my eyes off of God.
