Part Four – Missing God’s Grace!
“Keep pursuing shalom with everyone and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses out on God’s grace, that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble and thus contaminates many, and that no one is sexually immoral, or godless like Esau, who in exchange for a single meal gave up his rights as the firstborn. For you know that afterwards, when he wanted to obtain his father’s blessing, he was rejected; indeed, even though he sought it with tears, his change of heart was to no avail. Hebrews 12:14-17 (CJB)
THERE IT IS! When we step out of God’s WILL – we choose the consequence(s), and we can MISS God’s grace!
Adam and Eve had the right to choose and make their OWN choices – just as we do! When made THEIR choices changed the whole world in more ways then can ever be written! God’s perfect plan for the whole world was ruined! Their choices were mistakes that – could not be fixed!
The consequences of their choices caused each and every person that came into this world after them to live with the consequences of their choices! Including us!
At this time We are seeing daily on Television what the “fall out” from wrong choices can look like! YES! We have made wrong choices also – none of us are perfect! Most of the individuals who read this Blog are Christians. I’m a Christian and I have had to ask myself over the last few weeks the following question: Have I spent enough time praying for my country – not only now but over my lifetime?
Of the last few years I have seen on the news many issues that have concerned me greatly! And what I’m seeing lately is of more concern than ever! I keep thinking, what my grandchildren are possibly going to have to live through!
I want to ask a few questions not only to my readers but to myself: As Christians have we become too lackadaisical over the years regarding our prayer time?
We were taught prayer is an especially important “LIFE TOOL”! We were taught “PRAYER CHANGES THINGS” and we know “PRAYER IS POWERFUL”! Are we using this “LIFE TOOL enough? Are we spending enough time in prayer? Or are we rushing through – to quickly?
When we give Satan an OPEN DOOR like not praying enough – he moves right through it. THAT IS HIS JOB! That is what he does! He messes up lives!
Keep in mind it is relatively easy to let him in – however, it is awfully hard to get him out! And OH, the mess he leaves for us that cannot be fixed! Can you see the mess he has created and is creating?
Readers, I would love to hear your thoughts . . .
